sorry to be so early but I probably wont be online this weekend ( pc still down ). I usually put on the Raven space ( on repeat ) for trick or treaters but I'm not sure what I did with the disc. Since I can't burn anything I have on HD right now any back up ideas? Maybe someone will come up with an idea of something I have that I can actually find. Will probably just try and find a creepy space

thanks for the recommendations but you guys had to get all obscure on me didnt you? I usually like to do the Raven space but because i cant find it I thought someone might point me to something i know i have. Especially since I dont normally listen to space ( which is what i thought would work pretty good ).Listening to the 10-31-91 ( already knew and love the Kesey rap ) space right now and it's pretty freaky so I might go with that.

leave it to you knuckleheads to list nothing but obscure stuff.

If it has the be GD then how about the Close Encounters space. It's pretty spooky.

Or there's always "the Torture Never Stops" by Zappa off of Zoot Allures. It's perfect for Halloween. It's over 9 minutes long with creepy lyrics. It also has a long (6 1/2 minute) jam in the middle that features spooky music and a lot of screaming, moaning and groaning in it. You can probably just play the jam part of it on a loop. Here's the you-tube video, maybe you can record or download itsomehow.

I'm sure you can get that for a buck or so off I-tunes or any other music site.

"Funeral For A Friend", Elton John, is a good one as well.

Anyway, Happy Halloween. hope it's a scary one for you.

good idea on Frank, although if I'm going with lyrics I might even go with the tune Black Sabbath. Not sure if I even have 1-22-78 on CD. I know I do on cassette

pjcenedella has a good point. For the last several Halloweens, I've been looping tracks from Infrared Roses and it can drive some kids nuts.

Tracks 3,6,8 & 9 are the best. Sometimes I'll throw in 10 & 11 too. But looping 3,6,8,9 works really well. I blare it out the window by my front door and my wife and I sit in chairs on the porch with our pirate masks on and dare the chillin's to come and take candy from our bowls.

Secret Treaties by Blue Oyster Cult

Hands down best Halloween album ever!

As a one time big BOC fan I'd have to say that Secret Treaties (excellent album though that is) is edged out by the dark undercurrents of Agents of Fortune in the sinister stakes (don't be put off by the fact that it's the (Don't Fear) The Reaper album). I still love tracks like The Revenge of Vera Gemini:

I was your victim
I was well deceived
Hell's built on regret
But I love your naked neck

I'm really not a big fan of Blue Oyster Cult. I just think that particular album, Secret Treaties, is a brilliantly produced (Todd Rundgren) masterpiece. It's very different from the "hits" you mentioned! The music is extremely dark and the themes somewhat disturbing. Almost, but not quite to the extent of being offensive. Perfect for Halloween!
